4 Reasons for the Incarnation
Do you know why Jesus Christ became man? Here are four reasons why as Catholics we believe this. They are found in the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
1.
The Word became flesh for us in order to save us by reconciling us with God, who "loved us and sent his Son to be the expiation for our sins" (CCC 457).
2.
The Word became flesh so that thus we might know God's love: "In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him." (CCC 458).
3.
The Word became flesh to be our model of holiness: "Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me." "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me" (CCC 459).
4.
The Word became flesh to make us "partakers of the divine nature"..."For this is why the Word became man, and the Son of God became the Son of man: so that man, by entering into communion with the Word and thus receiving divine sonship, might become a son of God." (CCC 460).
"We call this food Eucharist...For not as common bread nor common drink do we receive these...the food which has been made into the Eucharist by the Eucharistic prayer set down by Him...is both the flesh and blood of that incarnated Jesus."

Join us for our 2024 Revival Nights, evenings focused on reviving our faith and focusing on the gift of the Eucharist. Our new format for the nights includes one hour of praise and worship on the first Wednesday of each month in the Church at 7:15pm.

The National Eucharistic Revival is a movement to restore understanding and devotion to this great mystery here in the United States by helping us renew our worship of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.
